Bits and bobs

The last couple of days have been pretty busy, so I haven't had much time for knitting.

When I do have the needles in hand, I'm in the middle of some very long short rows on the Kleio shawl and it's just miles and miles of never ending garter stitch...
As pretty as the colours of this Slinky Cat are, I really can't wait to get to the lace section!

And since miles of garter stitch isn't that exciting, I thought I'd share a few bits of others things happening around the studio.

First up is a recent batch of buttons... I found a really cool etsy shop with some awesome buttons at quite reasonable prices.

These owl buttons caught my eye in an ad on Ravelry.
... so I decided to check out the whole shop. Next thing I knew, some majestic cats jumped into my cart.
... and then I found the little metal roses I'd been looking for since forever
..... and flowers need a little foliage...
.... and these ones were just so beautiful, they had to come live with me too
I'm thinking these will be perfect to put on Braid Hills when I get it knit.

Today Mom and I had to make a quick trip to Walmart, and I dragged her by the fabric aisle. I should have got pictures of all the fabric she bought (there's talk of a quilt being made),but I only picked up two little pieces
So perfect... how could I resist???

And finally, Rocky is very jealous of all the attention Tux has been getting lately...
So please, give him some love!

Those buttons are amazing - I think I would have a hard time not buying way too many if I spent much time in that Etsy store.

And I love the pawprint fabrics!

Hi Rocky - you are a pretty boy, ask your mom to give you a kiss from me!

Lovely buttons, cute fabric, and a sweet cat nose! Do cats like it if you rub your finger along the nose?

Rockster, you do not want to do what Tux has done to get attention. Really. Now cuddle with your mom, she's having a hard month.
