Little Miss Dress-up

As I've mentioned, we're doing a little KAL over at the Wandering Cat ravelry group. We're all knitting my Mr. Dress-up pattern.

The KAL started yesterday, but it wasn't until the evening that I got a start on them.
I managed to get through the cuff and the first pattern repeat. Progress on these is going to be slow for a little while. I have several other projects I need to get done, so these will be lunch-hour knitting only, for a while.

If you'd like to join us, feel free to head on over to the group - you don't have to knit it in Wandering Cat Yarn  - but if you do, you get an extra entry into the prize draw.

And what will that prize be? Well it's a surprise... but I will say, I've had the itch to do a little more sewing, and Mom gave me a pattern for a really cool project bag.... and I might have bought some fabric at Walmart today...
Cool cats
Funky frogs
...so you might just see something fabric-y in the prize pack....

Tux update:

Tux had his post-op vet visit today, and she was very pleased with his progress. We aren’t giving him any more pain meds unless he regresses in his progress – she says they can have some bad side-effects if given too long. She says the incision looks great though, she was quite surprised that there was no inflammation at all, and that he was totally fine for us to touch it.

She said it will take at least two weeks for him to learn to walk properly – and could take up to four weeks, so not to worry if progress is slow.

When I brought him home though, he started sitting up like a normal cat (which he hadn’t done yet) and he followed me in to the kitchen – less dragging, more hopping.

When I got home from work tonight, he was back up on the futon. I put him on the floor for dinner, but made him walk the length of the carpets to eat, which he did very well. After dinner he rested for a minute... then hopped to the back door, rested on the mat. Hopped back to me on the futon and laid on my feet and rested for a minute  - then went back to his pet bed, where he's been sleeping for the past hour.

Oooh pretty fabric. I bought Lily a bunch from Walmart for her birthday but she won't use it. LOL

I think he'll bounce back quite quickly. :)

Your Walmart has great fabric! Ours-not so much.
Tux sounds like he is getting back to his cuddle bunny ways. Yay for him!

Im so happy to hear that Tux is doing great! I think being off pains meds is fantastic. Animals just amaze us over and over again.
