A little body

Blaster is blasting right along...
Yep. The KAL only started on Boxing Day, and less than two weeks later, I've already got the body done. The speed is due to several factors:
1) My knit mojo is really rocking
2) It's a cropped sweater, so there's less knitting to begin with
3) It's DK weight
and last, but definitely not least......

A certain cat we won't name...
Decided it would be fun to stay out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past curfew and not come home until 3:30 a.m. Like most of the country, we are in the middle of a deep, deep freeze, so leaving him out all night to sleep in the chair was just not an option.

There was a lot of angry, worried knitting as I watched for his totally unrepentant face to show up at the door!

Been there. Done that. My outdoor kitties are driving me to drink. I can't calm down until I get a meal in them at least once a day so I am out in the middle of the night with a flashlight looking for signs of life in this insane arctic blast. I do have a heated bowl with dry food and water in it that stays on all day and night but I want to see them eat some canned food too and know they are getting up in their huts at night. So far so good but I'm sure I have some gray hair because of it.

Nice job on the KAL. Sounds like a certain someone needs to be grounded for a bit.

Oh, no!! That's the worst. We have a pet door, so I know I don't need to wait up to let anyone in, but I always fret when I haven't seen them inside by 9ish - there's coyotes out there...

Awesome! I love that pattern. No outside cats here as there are too many hungry predators out there. Bears, coyotes, raccoons, hawks, hungry and waiting!

You can train him to come in at a certain time every night. I have lived with going out and searching for cats for years. I then found out if I feed them a small treat of canned cat food at the same time every night they are there waiting for it. I turn the outside light on and that is the clue that the food is ready, they are at the door waiting to get in. Its only a teaspoon but it does the trick!
