In my sewing room, I have five boxes that are just big enough to hold quilts-on-the-go in various stages. To keep my quilt wips from getting out of hand, I'm trying to keep myself from starting a new quilt until a box is free.
Since the Woodland Ballet quilt is off to Mom's, its box was empty, so I decided to fill it with Wren's birthday quilt. Her birthday isn't until April, but who knows how long my mojo is going to last... I thought it best to take advantage while I could.
in the summer. While I love the convenience of pre-cuts, I have to admit, I really enjoy putting together my own fabric combinations. And given Wren's name, I just had to put birds in her quilt.
Normally, I don't cut and sew on the same day, but as I said, I've had a lot of energy lately, so I thought I'd just whip up a few blocks to see how they looked.
I guess I'll take a few squares with me, and decide when I get to the store! Oh - and I'm calling this one Spring Chick!
