Aldershot moves

The plan to devote at least five hours a week to Aldershot is paying off.

As you can see, I've made some great progress. I'm through the leg, around the heel and onto the gusset.

And I have to say, I love the way those  cables are stacking up.

I've said before that, which I love the look of cables, I usually don't enjoy executing them. But  I'm really loving working on this pair.  I think it's because the cables are every six rows or more (I don't count the twisted stitches on either side of the big cables, because they are easy to execute).

And the yellow is definitely helping to brighten up this dreary February. The snow has finally stopped and the sun has finally come out, but it's still a dreary world out there.

I'm the same way with cables. I just love the look of them but they can be a bit fussy to knit. The head bands I'm knitting have cables every four rows. I'm finding the front twist easier than the back one. Those socks are really pretty. Love the yellow too.

This looks like a really fun pattern. Yellow is not usually a color I choose, but I am loving the way they look in yellow!

Nice! I rarely knit cables, but I do love them.

Dreary and cold here, too. Today's high will be in the mid-30s - a heat wave!

I love fat, long cables!! I still love slim, short ones, but after a while you just don't want to twist so often. Lovely sock you are building there.

Val, that's a stunning sock. I'm going to try a pattern on my current sock wip once I get past the cufff. You motivate me!!!

Cute! Love the yarn color. We have sunshine today; hoping it starts to melt off some of that darned ice everywhere...

I'm funny about cables, in terms of knitting them. Sometimes I"m in the mood, other times, not so much. I do love how pretty this sock is knitting up and I am a huge fan of knitting in sunshine.
