Promise of spring

It may be April, but it looks like I've really got to get a move on these socks.
Yep, that's snow on the ground. But as you can also see, the first sock is done. The weather turned back to winter this weekend (Rocky, as you can imagine, was not amused) so I turned my attention to staying inside where it was warm. Which of course, means knitting. So the first sock got finished, and the second one is already cast on.

And while it may be grey and dreary outside...
I've got the promise of spring colours to keep me going.

It's been cold and miserable here too. Mother Nature is such a tease. The sock is perfect spring knitting. You need instant gratification and lots of color this time of year.

I totally agree with Rocky. Snow on the ground this time of year is definately NOT amusing! Your sock is lovely.....looks like lilacs in bloom....hang in there and soon the real ones will be out.

I turned inward on Saturday when we had blizzard winds and crazy hail and sleet. I went to my LYS and bought some sale yarn!
Love your spring socks. Im hoping to finish a pair of Lux cashmere socks later today. Just the toe and Im done with the pair. I knit the first one of the pair in December.

I am happy to still be able to wear some warm woolens her in Southern Indiana, so I don't mind the chill at all! IT will soon be in the 80's with no relief from the high humidity, so I enjoy every bit of cool I can
