Sherlocking it up

There's nothing like finishing an a project quickly to get you revved up about an old UFO. (Not to mention, it's a good reminder of how fast things go when you knit monogamously). So, with Shleeves off the needles, I've turned my attention back to Sherlock
I've just added the third skein of natural yarn, and I'm seven inches from the underarm. Because I'm ridiculously short-waisted, that means I'm only about four to five inches from being done the body. (Don't worry, I make up for it with extra long monkey arms).

So if I knit steadily on it, I could conceivably be done by the end of the month. That is...
...if I can avoid certain minor complications like above (note to self... do not turn back on knitting to take a picture of a butterfly).

And... that means it should be finished in time for the arrival of the perfect compliment...
I know.... I really don't need more shoes..... but could they be any more perfect??? (And the price was ridiculously good.... and I might have got an even better deal because I ordered a few others along with them....shhhh ... it's our little secret.)

The shoes are super cute. I wonder if The Rocky loves Sherlock so much because the colors kind of match him? I completely endorse the shoe buying. Enjoy your happy.

Glad I don't buy fiber like that.

Love the shoes, and Sherlock is looking grand too. I have the opposite body proportions, short arms and long body

Nice shoes! Kitties do love their knitty things. I've got a few old sweaters I might turn into kitty beds this winter.
