Summer fun

It was that time of year again. Time for my best friend's family bbq. The majority of the last few years we've had rain... but this year the weather was perfect - if a little sticky.
But it was the perfect day for sidewalk art
Sandbox fun
And piggy back rides

It's also the first time I've seen Miss Nora since last year, so I took the opportunity to give her the hats and mitts I'd made for her.
And despite the sweltering weather, she insisted on putting everything on all at once. (Have you ever seen someone so happy about mittens?  Especially in the dead of summer?
Bubbles was a BIG hit too.
And it looks like her daddy may be investing in music lessons soon. She was completely captivated by the guitar.

All in all it was a fabulous day even if it was too hot to wear Shleeves...sigh... but more on that tomorrow.

OH those summer parties. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the reaction to the mittens and hat you so lovingly knit! If only adults could be such great recipients!

Gah ... it makes me sweat just to see her in that hat in summer!!! She certainly seems knit worthy though!

I love that your knit objects were so loved on a summer day outside. Cute summer time photos. Is that an adventure time hat in there too?!?
