The bright side

My back is getting better slowly, but I'm going to be pretty much housebound for the rest of the week. But - you've got to look on the bright side...

1) I've got a job that I can do just as well from home as I can from the office, so I don't have to use up sick days, vacation days or worse, take unpaid days off.

2) Since I'm working from home, I have two extra hours each day that would normally be taken up by commuting, and...

3) Since I have to be careful how I move, and what I do for amusement - that means a lot more time to knit!

As such, Shleeves is flying along
I'm only about 12 rows from starting the lace edging. I had to put it on a longer needle last night. That pink line of knitting you see is where the sleeves will go.

Ideally, I'd like to have it done in time for the party on the weekend, but that may be a little too ambitious. For now, I'm just enjoying watching how the colours are knitting up.
Oh... and one more thing that's great about being stuck home...
Being at home when the mailman delivers your new boots!
Rocky thinks that's pretty fabulous too!

This whole post is full of brightness. I love the way the colorway is knitting up on your project and that your back is getting better, even if it's slowly. Back pain is no fun.

Your boots are great, and you know I'm a huge Rocky fan, in or out of a box.

Kitty in a box! How adorable. Love the boots, too. I'd be getting some black striped stockings and....oh wait. I'm too old for that. I could only get away with that on Halloween now.
I can't wait to see that whatchamacallit finished. I'm really intrigued.
