Spring!

FINALLY! It's the first day of spring.
There's still snow on the ground, and it's barely above freezing, but I managed to finish up a nice pair of spring-like socks!
The Appleby socks are done and I've got a new design on the needles (though I'll save details for another post)

Despite it being officially spring, it will be a few weeks before  I see any spring flowers here. So I brought a little spring home from the grocery store
Just the prettiest tulips I've ever seen!
Aren't they gorgeous? I need to see if I can get some bulbs for the gardens!

How's your spring so far?

I ♥ tulips and those are just the sweetest pink!

Love the socks too. That's a pretty great way to start a new season!

Happy Spring! The socks are so pretty. I love the delicate tulips too. Here in Georgia, we are beginning to see growth on trees, shrubs, etc. We had one set-back of colder weather that nipped the hydrangea's new leaves. Hope you have an enjoyable day.

Those are beautiful tulips. I am wondering if I'll see any of the ones I pilfered from Daddio's yard. I think I got one bloom last year.
Love those socks. It is time to dig out the lacy ones!

Love the socks - so pretty and dainty. They are spring-like for sure. And those tulips - just lovely.

P.S. We still have some snow too and it was 30 this a.m. on my drive to work...BUT, the ice is gone from my driveway!!

Love your new socks, the colour is so pretty!
Yes, dreary and cool here too but officially it is Spring!
I planted a few packs of tulips last Fall but I can't remember what colour! This is our first Spring in this house so it will be interesting to see what comes up.
Have a good day!

Oh, I was so tempted by the tulips in the grocery story, but Beau the Feline Destroyer of all Things Nice would knock the vase over in the middle of the night. :-(

It's spring!! I love the tulips (and the socks) - there's something about pink and green that just screams springtime to me. The orange blossoms are wildly in bloom here - driving around with the windows open, the whole neighborhood smells like oranges. Love it :)

Those are pretty tulips! No snow here and spring is in the air. The temps tomorrow will reach 80....that may be more like summer. LOL
