Hip to be square

I know I told you a while back that I was going to be working almost non-stop on the Lestrange Cardigan. Although I've made some good progress on it, and I'm loving it, I haven't actually worked on it for at least a week and a half. In between the test knits, I've been working on squares for my barn raising blanket.
I've just put 12 new ones on the blocking board.
I only need 24 more to complete the blanket... but now.. now I need to work on anything but a square! I'll try to get back to them some time next week....

Ooh - as I play with my blending board, I'm making lots of small skeins of this or that. I was thinking of someday putting them altogether into a blanket. Maybe like this blanket. Love it!

I feel like I recognize a bunch of those self-patterning yarns. The pattern really works nicely with them, doesn't it!

Ooh, but they're so pretty! That's going to be a great cheerful blanket for keeping someone toasty on a cold rainy or snowy day.

I love how we think we know what we are going to be knitting, but the call of the yarn takes us in a different direction. The blanket is whipping up and looking great. Happy Knitting!
