Fair finishes

First - you guys are awesome! In just a couple of days you've really helped support little Cecil! (Who should be coming home from the vet today!)
If you still want to help:

There's only eight days left to get things finished for the fair. I've got a good amount so far, but I'm trying to squeeze in a few more.

If I wanted to enter my posey bonnet, I needed a pair of booties to go with it.
So I whipped up a pair of modified Sarrtjes booties.
Well I say "whip up" and really they should have gone fast, but somehow I managed to stretch out three days - for just two little shoes!
But they are done and I had some cute little star buttons from the stash to finish them off.
The Posey bonnet is too small for Wren now (why do babies grow so fast?), so after the fair, this will be tucked away until someone else gets knocked up.

I'll make another, larger one for Wren and get the pattern released for all of you.

In other fair project news...
I cast on for Chouette. Ages ago, Mom gave me a pair of wooden 6mm dpns but I've misplaced them. I was at Lens on Monday buying more quilt fabric (shhhhh) and figured I'd better get another pair. All they had were metal ones.

I have hated ever moment knitting with them. They are cold and heavy and slippery. I did manage to finish Chouette, but it will not be going to the fair. It turned out small and sloppy and I am not at all happy with it. I may just have to give up on the Child's hat category but we'll see. There's 128 waking hours left....

LOL I'm guessing you might need to put a little sleep in there, eh? Good luck at the fair.
