The cold winds are rising...

It's happened...
Friday morning we woke up to frosty windows and the first snow of the season. Relic had to run right out and take a look, first thing.
It wasn't a lot of snow, but enough to gather in the leaves of the foxglove.
And the freezing temperature was enough to topple that proud, red anemone.
Out front there wasn't as much snow, but it looks like the poor tree threw up half it's leaves all in one night. We didn't have the right weather this year for them to turn their usual brilliant gold... they are just dropping half-dead but still green
But Relic says don't worry... it's still warm enough for nice roll in the sunshine.

I'm not a fan of the white stuff but it looks like Relic is. Silly cat. It's been chilly here the last few nights but no snow....thank goodness!

We need a good attitude like the cats about weather....just roll with it!
Too bad you didn't get the color this year-my Mom was sad about it, too.

Relic is such a sweetie pie! It got COLD here too. No snow but those cold winds have done a number on the trees. Leaves everywhere.

Hi Valerie, I was wondering how much snow you got. We just had a few flakes scattered on the ground. One of our maples did the same as your tree. With a phwump all the leaves dropped. We spent a couple hours raking this morning. Lovely to see Relic!

I suppose that lush, fur coat of his helps make the chilly weather a bit more bearable!

First snow! Wow - it seems like that came fast, but I guess it is almost halfway through November, after all. Glad to see Relic still got some sunshine time outside :)
