Sock-on-the-Lake

As you read this, I'm probably stuck in a hotel conference room listening to Executives wax enthusiastic about our business and where it's headed.

My company is having a Sales and Marketing summit. We're in gorgeous Niagara-on-the-Lake (NotL) for a couple of days, but I'm not sure how much of it I'll get to see, as we're supposed to be holed up in the hotel most of the time.

But, I've got my knitting.

I got most of the leg done on the first of the boot socks before I left for NotL. I don't think they'll let me knit in the meetings, but I figure I'll end up working on them at night. I have trouble sleeping without Dave and the cats now, so I can stitch through my insomnia.

I'm really loving the colour on these. The teal has a great pop to it. And I love that bright green. There's even a touch of lavender in there, which is a nice contrast.

Oh I love the yarn - such pretty colors! And perfect for even being *near* a lake.

The colors in that sock are wonderful!

You should come to my meetings - plenty of free time - LOL. I don't sleep well in hotel rooms either.

Lovely colours Valerie!
I hope you are able to see a bit of NOTL. We have already booked a cottage for a week in May.
Take care.

Oh Im so glad you have your sock knitting with you. Id be the same without Fireman and the cats around me. The cats dont sleep with us, but I'd miss them anyhow. Hope the Conference has some unexpected perks

Well I for one think that all meetings should alow knitting to take place during them. I mean...if they are going to lock people in hotels like that it's the least they could do. LOL Especially when one is working on such a lovely sock.

That sock yarn looks so familiar. I am going to have to go digging through my sock drawer to see if I have a pair like it. If I don't-too bad because I really like it!
