The projects

I treated myself to a new set of sheets the other day, and as I was unpackaging them, I discovered that they were were wrapped in a matching, elasticized fabric bag.
Now I'm guessing this is so you can store your sheets nice and tidy when not in use. Great idea, in theory. But I can barely fold a fitted sheet (usually I just ball them up and cram them in the closet and shut the door before they fall out.)There's zero chance I'm getting the whole set folded tidily enough to get it back in that bag.

But I saw a better use for it....

So I grabbed my seam-ripper, opened a couple spots in that top hem, removed the elastic, threaded in some ribbon and...
... instant project bag! Because really, you can NEVER have enough project bags.
It's just perfect for holding my tree delivery cowl and keeping it safe from prying paws.

Brilliant! Now why didn't I think of that? I have at least a couple of those little bags in the linen closet that are about to become project bags. ;-)

Ha, I hate throwing out those little bags, too! And you 'fold' sheets just like me!

Brilliant!

I can't fold a fitted sheet, no matter how many times I have it shown to me.

Ingenious! I've bought sheets like that before too and never thought to reuse the little bag they come in.

That is a fabulous project bag!

I've never seen sheets sold in a cloth bag. Mine have always come in zippered plastic bags (which I do repurpose), but the cloth is so much better!

Never had sheets come in a bag, maybe it's not a thing here in NZ. I did get one with the motorcycle helmet for the boys though, might have to snaffle that for knitting instead.

Good idea! What I do with sheet sets is keep them in one of the matching pillow cases. Even if they are folded poorly, they fit in there. Now I have to go see if I have some of those cloth bags, to see if I can transform them, too.
