Building a star

I was feeling a little guilty about starting the Dragonfly quilt when I hadn't done any work on the Starburst quilt in ages. Of all my projects, it's the only one that has a deadline. It's still a few months off, so I've got time... but I don't want to dilly dally either.

So this weekend, I got a second quadrant together.
And I officially have half the quilt top done! I figure if I can do a quadrant each weekend, I'll be well on track to get the quilt done on time. I still have to get some material for sashing and backing, but I'm so pleased with how this star is turning out.
Although,  someone else thinks there should only be one star in this house...
And he's ready for his close up!

He's the star and he knows it! Nice work on the piecing; it's not as easy as it looks!
